Raised Planter Beds
The 333 John Carlyle Garden
Installed in March of 2025, this garden boasts a small but mighty 200 feet of raised beds built on the previously unused, ballasted rooftop space. Although tenants of Carlyle Gateway can’t see the garden themselves, starting in June, they will see all of the food that their building’s urban garden produces! Veggies such as kale, cucumbers, and peppers, and culinary herbs like rosemary and basil will fill the Harvest Tables throughout the growing season. Accompanying the growing space, three hives watch over the garden when the UpTop farmers are tending other farms, providing on-site pollination services, and eventually, honey for residents later in the season!
