Carlyle Gateway Spring ‘26 Hive Update

Notes from beekeeper james

Your hives on the rooftop of Carlyle Gateway emerged from a long winter rearing to go! Both colonies survived the cold temperatures by clustering up in a ball to stay warm, buzzing their wings to generate heat! By the time of the first major blooms of the season, each colony's overwintered workers were well set up to begin collecting pollen and nectar throughout Alexandria and Arlington. The overwintered workers have now been joined by tens of thousands of their siblings to collect resources to grow the colony. They are quickly filling up frame after frame of honey, taking advantage of the nectar and pollen boom in the area!
