RAISED PLANTER BEDS

The Garden at the District Center

Opened in 2022, the garden at District Center supplies fresh produce to the building's tenants as well as local non-profit partner Dreaming Out Loud. In its first year, the garden produced nearly 800 lbs of produce, with building tenants lining up once a week throughout the season to get their roof-to-lobby share of the harvest. The garden is planted every year in a wide variety of vegetable crops such as eggplant, tomatoes, chard, kale, and peppers, as well as a variety of flowers and herbs such as lavender, chives, and thyme. This mix of veggies and flowers gives the rooftop bee-hives plenty of forage throughout the season as well!
