Crops Are Here!
The heat-loving favorites are rolling in, eggplant, peppers, and basil are all producing great yields so far this summer. None of it happens without help though: bees and other pollinators have been buzzing from bloom to bloom all season, doing the essential work that makes every harvest possible!

The garden on the roof of the International Finance Corporation has continued to delight World Bank staff visiting the penthouse this summer. Passing through the planters containing perennial culinary herbs like mint, chives, oregano and blooms of lavender sits the vegetable garden. Everything grown on site is donated to Dreaming out Loud, a local food pantry and community hub, furthering the World Bank Group’s mission to reduce food insecurity. Planted in coordination with our donation partner, the group receives weekly deliveries of kale, collard greens, eggplant, peppers and culinary herbs.

My favorite thing about this site is the stunning lavender bushes that greet you on the patio!
