Crops Are Here!
The heat-loving favorites are rolling in, eggplant, cucumbers, peppers, and basil are all producing great yields at the Harvest Tables this summer. None of it happens without help though: bees and other pollinators have been buzzing from bloom to bloom all season, doing the essential work that makes every harvest possible!
a Note from your farmer, Owen
Could you imagine what difference a few weeks makes, I surely couldn’t. The kale, collards, and eggplants have really shown what’s possible with a little effort and support of a team. On this small section of rooftop so much progress has been made over the season and we’re looking forward several more months of harvests at this small but mighty garden!
What’s your favorite part about summer in this garden?
Our highest garden so far, provides a nice cool breeze on those warm summer days. Have to keep things from flying away but in the heat of the day the breeze here is unmatched
1950 opportunity Garden’s Top Crop
Curly Kale
Over 120 bunches harvested so far this season!
Did you know?
Curly kale is a nutritional powerhouse, packed with more vitamin C by weight than an orange, and its ruffled leaves aren't just for looks. They actually help the plant shed excess water and stand up to heavy summer rain.
