EastBoro Garden 2025 Recap

Thanks from your 2025 farmer, James!

The first season of the garden at Eastboro was a resounding success! Thanks to our partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, Up Top Acres farmers were able to distribute over 900 pounds of produce, rotating between four Boro District office buildings. At their monthly Harvest Tables, office tenants were able to select from an array of freshly harvested offerings such as kale, collard greens, swiss chard, and culinary herbs. As the weather warmed, tenants were delighted to take a share of the garden’s peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggplant. The pollen and nectar from these fruiting crops also provided important fodder for the resident honeybees located just a few stories up on top of 8251 Greensboro Drive. The Up Top Acres team was delighted to meet so many tenants and staff at our events throughout our inaugural season, and we’re looking forward to another impactful year in 2026!
