James Sleigh

James grew up just outside the District of Columbia and has long been interested in sustainable food systems and building community ever since his first job at a farm stand in high school. James attended the University of Vermont and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Studies focusing on sustainable agriculture and food policy. After graduating he deepened his food systems knowledge by working as a field hand at two Vermont-based farms;  a market-garden farm and a regenerative livestock operation, as well as other roles in the food economy.
