655 K Street Garden

Installed in March of 2025, this rooftop garden converted a traditional sedum green roof into a growing space with a pollinator garden. The raised bed, urban garden wraps around the building on the north & east sides of the building with nearly 400 feet of planting space, and a 100-foot perennial bee & butterfly garden along the southern-facing penthouse windows. Starting in April, Up Top Acres farmers plant vegetables and herbs such as kale, cucumbers, and basil, and pollinators like rubekia, asters, and echinacea. Get ready for harvest in June!
